Microservices are a huge trend, and microframeworks are perfect for them: put together just a few files, write some code, and your done!
But Symfony is a big framework, right? Wrong! Symfony can be as small as a single file!
In this talk, we'll learn how to use Symfony as a micro-framework and learn about some of the most fundamental concepts that make up a Symfony project (which are the same as a Drupal project). The goal is to answer the question "what the heck is a Symfony application?" and learn how to control each of these pieces. We'll also talk about how this relates to Drupal: the similarities that can be accomplished in both, and the differences.
So yes, Symfony can also be a microframework. Take control!
