Talk Nerdy to Me: Translating Developer Speak into Designer Lingo

As digital has become the darling medium, we have split camps into designers and developers, each forming grumblings about the other. Every developer has experienced a project in which a designer has promised the sun, moon and stars without any regard to tech/func specs; every designer has lamented working with a developer who focused on execution and overlooked the details that made the visual design unique. How do we get designers as excited about development--such as the latest CMS betas--as they get about design? By leveraging the passions on which both camps thrive, we can find common ground where we share our love for beautiful, well-built digital experiences through education, respect, and lots of coffee.
