Thank you for all of the session submissions for DrupalCon Asia! In true Drupal fashion, we had a huge surge in the last few days/hours of session submissions to bring us to a total of 349! We are already busy working to make our selections, but check out some stats about the process in the meantime.

 

At his keynote for DrupalCon Barcelona, Dries Buytaert announced that we would have a Drupal 8 RC release on Oct 7th, 2015 to a room full of ecstatic Drupalers. Apart from the joy of seeing Drupal 8 release soon, developers also understood that this meant that it is finally time to start understanding how to develop for Drupal 8.

As per Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends Report 2015, India “appears to be at internet penetration growth inflection”, as the top country in internet user additions per year. Mobile is huge here, relative to other countries. The trend is similar across the rest of Asia.
