Joining a Zoom Meeting as a Speaker

Zoom Meeting (for BoFs, Contributions, Opening Ceremony) - held in Zoom, is an interactive session on specific topic where all participants can speak out loud and share their screens with others.

  • Make sure to update your Zoom app to the latest version (use the "Check for updates" button).
  • Download the Zoom app if you are currently using the web app.

Join a Zoom Meeting

The Zoom Meeting is set outside of the OnAir platform and is held in Zoom. You will be redirected to the Zoom room by clicking on the “Join” button, which will appear at the starting time.

  • If there is “No button“ - you cannot enter the meeting yet.

  • If there is “Join” - you can access the meeting. It will be available 30 minutes before the planned starting time.

  • If there is “View” - the meeting already ended.

  • Once you enter the meeting, you will be redirected to Zoom. After you launch the Zoom meeting room, click on “Join Audio by Computer”.

During a Zoom Meeting

Once it is your turn to present, you can unmute yourself and start your presentation.

For more tips about the Zoom setting, we recommend you to review our "Zoom Guidelines for Speakers" which you received via email. If you haven't received it yet, do not hesitate to contact us via drupal@kuoni-congress.com.

Contribution session is held as a Zoom Meeting, however it works on the basics of “Breakout Rooms”, where one Breakout Room represents one topic.

To join the Contribution Virtual Room by topic:

  • Use the Zoom app and make sure that it is updated to the latest version.
  • Click on the “BreakoutRooms” button at the bottom of your screen.
  • Choose the Contribution Topic of your choice and click the “Join" button.
  • To switch to another room, click again to the “BreakoutRooms” button.
  • If a popup message appears while you are in a room saying you have 120 sec to leave your room, don't panic, it just means our team is adding a new topic/breakout room. Do not leave your room!

End of a Zoom Meeting

At the end of the meeting since you are on the Zoom app (outside of OnAir), simply close the Zoom window and get back to the OnAir platform.
