Happier teams & clients with better PM – how we improved our PM process to make our lives easier

For several years, one of our biggest struggles at Cocomore has been how we managed our projects. We experienced different problems: Each PM having their own way of orchestrating teams and tasks, changing teams in the course of the project (e.g. focus on creative department in the beginning and on IT later on), different kind of work (huge projects vs. small tasks) and so on. This often lead to situations where people were overworked, we realized too late when things were not going as expected, risking either the deadline and/or the budget, and in the end work often was unnecessarily stressful for operating departments as well as project managers.

In this session we want to share how me managed to get out of this situation, by completely restructuring our PM team and setting up our own PM process. This process contains a set of rules how we implement Jira and its workflows, how teams are onboarded, which meetings we have and templates we use. Always having the goal in mind to be in full control of the project's status at any time, and so ensuring a better plannability - what then leads to higher efficiency and a less stressful way of working for everyone involved in a project.
