Training Spotlight: Frontend and User Experience
Frontenders rejoice! We have made extra room in our training line-up to include lots of frontend and UX topics. Begin your week at DrupalCon with a training course and get a head start on hot topics such as accessibility, site performance, design strategy and more.
If design strategy is your thing, join the team from Aten Design Group and learn how to engage your stakeholders with UX & Design Discovery Workshops. In this beginner-level class, you’ll explore the fundamentals of user experience and design to find the right tone and content balance for a successful web experience.
If you’re already familiar with Drupal theming and site building, but want to get up to speed with the new workflow in Drupal 8, check out Zivtech’s Front-End Drupal 8 Development training. Jody Hamilton and her team will cover the Drupal 8 theme layer, sub themes, preprocess functions, debugging, and more.
Advanced developers should check out the Frontend Performance Training to learn how to optimize site performance over the life of a Drupal project. Four Kitchen’s webchef Taylor Smith will share tips and tools to create your fastest, best performing website yet.
All courses are held on Monday, May 9, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Trainings are not included in a regular DrupalCon ticket and require a separate registration. You can save $50 if you purchase your training ticket at the early-bird rate of $450 by April 15. Light breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks are included with every training.
Our training courses are designed to be small enough to provide attendees with plenty of one-on-one time with the instructors. However, each class must meet a minimum number of attendees by April 15 in order for the course to run. Please help ensure your training class takes place by registering before this date and reminding friends and colleagues to attend.
