Drupal, an alternative for Africa, a “B” plan for the West: a solution for the world.

Imagine an IT company in Africa which employs two (2) programmers, (2) designers, one (1) project manager, one (1) security guard, one (1) driver and one (1) bonding agent;

Do you know how much people in less for immigration this can represent?

In this session, we will see how to help Africa to find its place in the Drupal community can be a better alternative in the fight against many kind of problems affecting Africa.

We are in a context where Africa need to find his place in the world but also in the Drupal community. The challenge here is to know how Africa can contribute to promote Drupal and how Drupal also can be useful for Africa.

We want to talk you about a world where we will no longer let the politicians taking decisions and to impose them to us, but a world where IT professionals (coders, designers, IT people) will impose their vision of world to the politicians through the power of their keyboards.

This is possible but we need to start one days and somewhere!

A CMS is it able to change the fate of a continent, of a country, of a city, of a neighborhood, of a family, of an individual (the node)?

Or rather, the right issue might be:

Does an individual (the node) is he able to change the fate of a family, of a neighborhood, of a city, of a country, of a continent, by the simple use of a CMS?

We will demonstrate how it is possible with Drupal, to have job creation to help Africa and business opportunity (development, training) for Drupal’s professionals of the West.

At the end of the presentation people should be aware that:

• Drupal is not a simple CMS, but is mostly a philosophy of life, a spirit of transformation to better: A way of being.
• Drupal can become a tool that can helps develop our environment through the Drupal’s spirit.
• People should have a clear knowledge of what is the Drupal’s spirit!
• The Drupal’s Spirit can be applied in all areas of life.
• The African continent is an example of place that we can apply the concept “of doing business and being human”.
