Onsite Accessibility

The Convention Centre Dublin was the first ever Irish venue to win the Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Award for ‘Access Excellence’. Travel Information

Ireland is an island, which means your best bet to get there is to fly. If you're already on the island, you probably know how to make it to the big smoke. Otherwise, you'll have to enter through the main airport north of Dublin city, or through the ferry ports at the East Wall and Dun Laoghaire (south of the city centre).

Arriving by Plane

Dublin Airport (DUB) is located 20km north of the city centre, connected by motorway most of the way in. Here are some options of how to get to the Convention Centre area:

• Dublin Bus, the local bus service. You can use the Route Planner to find the best bus to get you where you want to go and when. A direct bus, the 747, will cost you €6. Note, there are some bus strikes planned, check out our About Dublin page for more info.
• Aircoach - travel from the airport to the city centre (and a few other locations around the city) in style. It offers frequent, quality scheduled coach services and is the same price as Dublin Bus' 747 if you book online. It's €6 online or €7 if paying in cash.
• Taxis are available and there are usually jacket-sporting officials who do a decent job of moving the taxi queue along, so wait times are usually short. You can also grab a Hailo taxi at the airport, see About Dublin for more information. Typical fares from the airport to the city centre are under €30.

Trains

If you're thinking trains, you're probably already on the island, but should you elect to make landfall in another part of the island, there is a regular train service from Belfast and from Rosslare Europort, both of which end at Connolly Station, in the city centre. Connolly, Pearse Street and Tara Street DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) stations are all located about 10 minutes’ walk from The CCD. See www.irishrail.ie for details.
