The Drupal project chose the Symfony framework to build the foundations of its new major 8th version. Nowadays, Drupal 8 embeds more than a dozen of the Symfony components to modernize their underlying legacy code base. Understanding how they work and how they are integrated into Drupal core is the key to get started with Drupal 8 and its new object oriented design. This talk introduces some of the most important Symfony Core Components and explains what problems they solve and how they are integrated into Drupal 8.
