Drupal in an offline world

This talk will be about the offline world, and Drupal's place in it.

We will cover all the emerging offline / instant / fast technologies with simple examples. Which ones are possible in Drupal-projects and why you should care about them. Showing their strengths, weaknesses and for which type of clients you can use them.

The talk will end on a showcase of appcache and an explanation of serviceworkers in a Drupal 8 project. Using Frontend United  and the PWA module as an example.

You will walk away with a good understanding of Google's AMP, Facebook's instant articles, plain old apps, the failed Appcache and the promise of serviceworkers.
