Drupal reaching into the physical world

This session will explore the interaction between Drupal and Internet of Things. We will look at communication one-way (querying Drupal) from physical devices. We will see how buttons and devices can trigger actions on a Drupal site. And we will see how "things" interacting with a Drupal site can make devices talk to each other without the devices even realizing it themselves.

In the talk, I will try to cover different patterns for communicating with a Drupal site from the physical world. We will look at examples on how you can make sure your communication channels stay secure, even if we are out of the comfort of server rooms. Lastly, we will touch on how you can use a decoupled architecture to make sure the development environment stays flexible and maintanable.
