The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Drupal 8 Bootstrap

Drupal 8 represents some fundamental architecture changes, and with them come lots of new and exciting vocabulary words. Composer? Events? Middleware? Oh my!

One of the best ways to learn about these concepts is from the source—the source code of Drupal, that is. But stepping through the bootstrap process in a debugger is tedious and annoying. Far better for *webchick* to do all of that nonsense, and then present the information in what is hopefully both an informative and entertaining way!
