How Local Government (Municipalities) in Denmark use Drupal and Open Source to their benefit
Why you should attend
- This session will present two really powerful Drupal solutions. Solutions that will inspire and show the possibilities that lie within Drupal and Open Source.
- If you work with government this session will give you actionable advice, inspiration and a concrete case on how the public sector can work together on innovating and creating better solutions using the powers of open source.
- Even if you dont work with government this session will inspire and provide you with things you can act upon in your own business. The solutions I present can be used in many other areas and the concept of collaboration can be applied to other sectors as well, also commercial.
Content of the session
I will be speaking about the collaboration between more than 50 Danish municipalities. A public digitalisation network that work together on creating business critical solutions using Drupal and open source.
In my talk I will present business cases around products built on Drupal and released in the network as open source. One business case will be OS2loop, a web based knowledge sharing and search tool where everyone helps everyone.
Another business case will be OS2dagsorden (agenda) a web based agenda production and management system for preparing and holding meetings.
To put it all in context I will explain what a Danish municipality is responsible for and how the network is organised and can co-exist along with commercial vendors and other government organisations.
