How to market Drupal through awarding your work!

Let’s face it. Drupal don’t have the same marketing machine as proprietary content management solutions as for instance EPI-server or Adobe. But we do have a community. Our opponents don’t. So how can we utilize our strengths against our competitors and at the same time credits the work our developer has been doing?

The answer is: Conduct a Drupal Award show in your Country.

In Denmark, we have been conducting 3 Drupal Award Shows (2014 - 2016). For each show we’ve seen an increased awareness on our website and we’ve got new Clients which has referred to our Drupal Awards as the reason why, they have contacted us and given us new tasks. It’s has got some free PR and helped market Drupal as a serious global platform.

The Target group for this presentation is Drupal Marketers, Drupal Business Owners, or Drupal Executives.

My goal by given this talk is that I believe we could have an European Drupal Award show (maybe at Drupalcon 2017) if we could begin by having a Drupal Award in each (or most) countries.

Oh, and guess what - the Clients love it. Let's market the Drupal platform together and honour our clients and work at the same time.
