Open format Drupal mentoring; What, why and how. / Lessons learned in Melbourne

This session is to introduce and discuss the concept of open format Drupal mentoring in local communities, including:

- What they are;

- How and whom they help;

- And how they could play a strategic role for the Drupal project.

The insights, ideas and experiences to be shared are the result of two years of being involved with monthly Drupal mentoring events in Melbourne.

This session targets a range of audiences, including local community leaders and the Drupal Association board as well as local businesses and marketing departments. There is no need for any technical knowledge or specific background to participate in this session. The format will include both a presentation and open discussions.

By participating in this session, local communities will become familar with the concept of open format mentoring and will be encouraged to integrate it into common practice.

The view is that this session will be a starting point for more discussions in the wider community.
