Why User Persona are important for Testing?

Proposed session structure

• Introduction: We will begin with a quick history of User Persona, and it's criticality in User Centred Design. A choice of user Persona cherrypicked from actual projects will be presented, so that the audience gets comfortable with the concept around which the entire session is planned.
• Creating User Persona: With the aid of another real life project, we will etch out an User Persona (or two). Purpose of this segment would be to help users realize the identification of User Persona who are most likely to *use* a product.
• Creating Test Cases for a User Persona: We will present an assortment of Test Cases specifically written for 3 different User Persona. Audience will be able to clearly distinguish these test cases from those written for feature testing.
• Testing apps using these Persona: We will demonstrate user journeys of multiple persona and analyse the difference obtained in test results.
• Benefit of usability testing with User Persona: In the ending note, we will present a clean list of benefits that Person-driven testing can deliver over traditional feature driven testing. Our aim is to educate the audience about the signifacnce of user-driven QA, which we are confident that our data-backed session would be able to achieve.
