Sensu. Because Monitoring doesn't need to suck.
After it was mentioned on Twitter for the first time, It took the #monitoringsucks hashtag only a short time to get widely adopted. And as a long-time Nagios user, I certainly know why. But it was at a DevOps Days event in Rome where Ulf Månsson started a counter movement: #monitoringlove. He had introduced the Sensu monitoring framework at his company and was really excited about its power and simplicity.
Sensu enables you to build a monitoring system that adapts to your needs. Starting and maintaining Sensu is easy, and integrating additional services like metrics aggregation or on-call alerting only takes minutes.
In my talk, based on the article I've written for Linux Magazine, I am going to explain the basics of monitoring a LAMP stack with Sensu. Attendees from a beginner level upwards will get practical insight into how they can easily set up, operate and scale a Drupal monitoring system.
