Shotgun Migrate Tutorial for Site Builders and Developers

Forget everything you know about migrate from past versions of Drupal…let it all go. We are going to go on a fast-paced tour of everything you need to know to start importing content into Drupal 8 without drowning in custom code! This talk will focus on three different migration strategies (auto, manual, hybrid/generated) and will point you at the tools you need to do each. Concepts discussed will introduce you to the basics of Drupal 8 configuration and programming: just enough to get you comfortable working with the migration modules, and enough that you can adapt the skills to teach yourself other aspects of the system.

Past Drupal experience is not required… but a bit of PHP knowledge will certainly help if you wish to learn more than just configuration. This condensed session will cover everything we discuss in day-long migration trainings but at a faster pace and with more hyperlinks and more fun.
