Arya Bhatt from India is known for invention of zero i.e. Shunya. We all know that zero has been a crucial invention for the advancement of Modern Science.

In this session we are going to introduce the “Shunya” theme. We will talk about the use cases applicable for this theme and how it makes a difference to create sites using this theme for those use cases.

The objective behind designing this theme is to provide a ready to use and comprehensive theme for websites under the category of Photo Studio, Art Gallery, Fashion etc.

Most of the Drupal themes are based on a List or a Grid layout while this theme is based on Circular representation of content and images. The content lies inside a large circle (Shunya) in the middle of the screen. This theme provides Two Panels of Dynamic Navigation in which changing the selection on one navigation panel changes the menu items in another navigation panel. This enables in creating highly interactive Navigation Panels in the site. One Navigation Panel is around the content area as a semicircle right in the middle of the screen. Both the Navigation Panels are enriched with animations

The Card Layouts have been modified and converted into a combination of Circular and Semicircular layout. Each circle represents one Unified Concept. They act as “content containers” just like card layout.

Implementing Motion animation to load the content is also there in the roadmap. The main circular pane which has the content could then be rotated via motion animation for an enhanced User Experience. If the content goes outside the Shunya shape, we  dynamically convert it into pages and provide the pagination which then works as a gallery slider in the content region.

The session assumes familiarity with basic web and front end concepts.
