Toolbox 101: choose tools that fit you
dscl
Whenever you start learning a programming language, a framework or CMS, somebody will tell you what to use for that specific case, and it is common to realize that the suggested tool doesn't really work for you. It is OK!
Same thing happens for testing tools, hosting or even processes and practices (yes, they are also tools).
This talk will present you a comprehensive set of tools/options for different type of people involved in the development process, just because everybody is important.
Among the categories we will cover, there will be:
- IDEs
- Local servers solutions
- Code inspect/analisys tools
- Behavior testing
- Layout testing
- Load and Performance testing
- Auditing strategies
(and more...)
