The who, what, where, when, why of HTTP/2

dparzych

The internet has evolved over the past 20+ years, but the HTTP standard powering it did not keep up.  As connection speeds increased and pages grew in size, inefficiencies with HTTP became apparent. With HTTP/2, after 25 years since the birth of the Internet, we finally have a well supported upgrade from  HTTP.  HTTP/2 is a replacement for how data is transferred on the web. It maintains all the semantics of HTTP but eliminates the inefficiencies improving performance for end users.

In this session you will learn:

·      New features and functionality included in the HTTP/2 protocol.
·      How to implement HTTP/2 on your site.

· How switching to HTTP/2 impacts delivery of a Drupal instance.
