Talk: Drupal core initiative leads keynote

Drupal’s initiatives form powerful teams that make great things happen. Core initiatives self-organize to get new improvements to the base system while community initiatives coordinate event organization, spread diversity best practices, collaborate on promotional materials, and so on. In the third instalment of this keynote, we’ll hear from a sampling of the key leaders in the community about what they are working on, what their challenges are and how you can get involved.

Talk: Centring humans and their rights in Open Source Design

Eriol has been working as a Designer for 10 years working in for-profits and then moving into NGO's and open source software organisations, working on complex problems like sustainable food systems, peace building and crisis response technology. Eriol now works at Open Food Network and is part of the core team at Open Source Design (http://opensourcedesign.net/) and Human Rights Centred Design working group (https://hrcd.pubpub.org/). Eriol is a non-binary, queer person who uses they/them pronouns.

Talk: Building Diverse, Inclusive and Equitable Communities

Siri Chilazi is a Research Fellow at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School whose life’s work is to advance gender equality in the workplace through research and research translation. She operates at the intersection of academia and practice, both conducting research on how organizations can become more inclusive, and bringing those research insights to practitioners through speaking, training and workshops. As an advisor and scholar, Siri frequently collaborates with organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and leading professional service firms in order to close gender gaps.

She has presented at numerous conferences around the world, and her work has appeared in media outlets including Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, BBC, Fast Company, Bloomberg News, and Forbes. Siri has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard College.
