Developing for Enterprise Drupal

Very few people's first experience of working with Drupal is in the enterprise space, they have often been working with Drupal as a hobbiest, on smaller sites or in the community then work up to a freelance, contract or full-time position working on in-house or client enterprise Drupal sites and it can be a very different experience.

This session will look at some of the gotchas, pitfalls and best practices when working on Drupal sites in the enterprise world. There will be tips, tricks, ideas and thinking points shared.

  • Content staging and workflow
  • Managing configuration
  • Performance
  • and more...

The session will mainly focus on past experiences and therefore Drupal 7, but will also give examples of how this can be done or how it relates to Drupal 8. It will be aimed at site builders and those at a beginner level with Drupal hoping to give them a leg up and an insight into the enterprise world.
