Locked down systems. Restricted rights for my computer. No access to IRC! And don't even get me started on the filters! It seems like everytime you start up the computer, the computer is less and less helpful in actually making it possible to get help to get the job done.
In this session, you will hear how government employees are working together to help bridge that gap with in person and online mentoring outside of the mediums blocked at our agencies.
You will learn:
- how we work together to create our own amazing Drupal GovCon.
- how we contribute to the Drupal Project and plan to contribute through modules and training
- how you can collaborate with us
- how you can re-use our methods to build new communities of practice no matter how locked down our environments are.
There are a thousand ways to contribute to the Drupal project, in this session, I'll show you how some government employees in North America and elsewhere are contributing. Join us, everyone can contribute.
