Genus video streaming in Drupal

Context of the session :

This session will be a showcase of Drupal - Genus integration that is made possible via a module that we created for one of our customers. As of now, this module is not contributed in Drupal community because it is still undergoing some functional changes related to its add-on modules like :

• Genus cron assist - Cron job assistance for node publishing,
• Genus stats - Video played statistics capturing in Genus statistics server (an advanced version of Omniture)
• Genus Playlist - A playlist for RTMP videos
• Check genus health - To check health of Genus servers and video assets

All the development is going at a fast pace and will be complete very soon.

What does this module offer :

• A smooth integration with Genus platform,
• Uploading a new video directly from Drupal to Genus portal,
• Browsing and attaching a video in Drupal (already uploaded to Genus portal),
• A granular statistics report - per user video plays,
• Supports multiple video players - supports JWPlayer extensively,
• Supports almost any video file extension,
• Gives a playlist of multiple RTMP files that can be streamed directly from Wowza server
