Kindness: Bridging the gap between servant leadership and running a business

It's challenging to know how best to lead within a work culture inspired by the philosophy behind open source. As a leader, it’s easy to find yourself struggling to find the balance between honoring both the validity of each individual team member’s needs as well as the necessity for strong decision-making. What's best for some, certainly isn't best for all, and while that's a hard pill to swallow as a caring manager, it must be accepted. Kindness is the way to bridge the gap between servant leadership and running a business.
