MySQL for Drupal - Things you should know!

MySQL is one of the most popular databases worldwide for the Web 2.0 and as well as a very popular database underneath Drupal.
In this session we are going to discuss the best practices for setting up a solid and scalable database for Drupal 7 & 8.
This session mainly covers three core best practice areas:

- Easy and effective tuning parameters/values for a fast and reliable database
- Best practice 'MySQL database harding' for a 'secured database'
- Easy ways for scaling out MySQL and actual limitation.

All topics are addressing the MySQL Community version of MySQL 5.6, though we're going to highlight some of the upcoming changes for MySQL 5.7. The new version of MySQL will be third release under Oracles Stewardship with significant optimizations and lots of new features.

This presentation targets all interested people who do have a basics understanding of databases and is mainly intended for Admins who need some quick advice to get the best out of MySQL.
