The Statistics module - It's not "that" bad

As the core maintatiner for the Statistics module I thought it was about time I talked about what it really does, how it works and ideas for the future.

Since development started on Drupal 8 there have been a number of changes to the statistics module to make it work and perform better for all, esspecially enterprise users who had often be advised not to use it. This session will go through those changes at a high level and also look at which of these changes you may already be using when they were backported fairly silently to Drupal 7.

For the future the plan is to work more on performance and removing the dependency and bottleneck of MySQL allowing data to be stored somewhere else or queued.
