When working with Commerce, as soon as someone adds a product to the cart they become an authenticated user and can no longer benefit from anonymous user caching. In this session we will explain how to use the Authenticated User Page Caching (Authcache) module and how this can benefit any Drupal site with logged in users.

Authcache flow diagrame

If you have installed Authcache before you might have more questions than when you started:

Which caching should I use?

  • Per role

  • Per user

  • Per page

How long should I cache for?

  • 1 second

  • 1 hour

  • 1 week

  • 1 day

What about View and Panels, what settings should I use for these?

What about expiring and invalidating caches?

What else can I do to increase performance?

With the answers to these questions we will show you how to a 5000% improvement on a product page load speed.

Examples will be taken from Bettracks and PlanesTV.

We will also give an insight on how this might work in Drupal 8 as well.
