0 to 10: Lessons Learned from the 1st Year of Leading a Team

lwinter

There is nothing like going from 0 to 10 employees overnight. In an instance, I went from project manager to being responsible for two project managers and 8 developers. No biggie, right? I told myself that it was going to be fine. After all, I had previously managed a team. I tried not to think about the fact that it was 8 years ago and in a completely different industry.

It turns out that this is often the path for project managers and whether we are officially managers or not, we are tasked with the responsibility of leading teams to success. The question is how do we take that next step?

Over the last year, I have learned quite a bit. I have had some success and made some mistakes. We have lost some employees and gained some new ones. We have made some clients mad and delighted others. In this session, I will share with you both my missteps and successes that have helped our team reposition itself for success and growth.

If you are moving into a leadership position or looking for ideas on pushing your current team to the next level, this session is for you.
