The 5 W’s (and 1 H) of Accessibility and you!

gdruckman
  • What is Accessibility?
  • Why does it matter?
  • Who is involved (you, the client, and the users)?
  • Where should you put your focus?
  • When should you start testing?
  • How do you become Accessible?

What will you take away from this session?

  • A better understanding of what accessibility is. You can still have a robust, beautiful and accessible site.
  • Why does it matter, and who are the users who benefit? There may be more than you think.
  • How to deal clients when submitting a proposal for an accessible website, and what is this VPAT they are asking you about?!
  • Where should you put your focus, and where is the fine line between business requirements and compliance.
  • When should you do your accessibility testing?
  • How should you test for accessibility, what tools can you use and what resources are out there to help you.
