6 PMs, 5 time zones and 4 daily standups - Building a distributed, multi-company teams for large projects
Getting a large, enterprise-level site launched on a new CMS is a multi-million dollar project, and can often include multiple teams from multiple companies all working together. This session will cover the fine art and occasional magic required to weave together multiple vendors and disparate team members into a successful powerhouse.
In the past, that might have meant herds of contractors shoved into conference rooms provided additional muscle to wrap a project, with all the accompanying costs, delays, and disappointments. Today, that mean combined teams of internal resources and outside experts and specialists pulled from around the country and around the world. There is a fine art form to being a successful consultant team and building great working teams.
