lookatyeti
The CEO Janitor is a real thing! When your company is small you wear many hats. Some people wear all of the hats. How do you go from being both the company’s CEO and janitor, to being only one?
At some point all organizations need to grow and no matter the size of your team, there are always growing pains. Growth sometimes means team size or top line revenue, but it can apply to our skill sets or our diversity. We must account for all of these whenever growth happens. In this talk, I’ll share Chromatic’s growth over the years and the lessons that we’ve learned along the way.
You will learn these key lessons:
- As a leader, how firing yourself is important.
- What it means to “wreck someone’s Eden.”
- Knowing when to grow, or at least how to make the best guess.
- Preserving culture as you grow.
- Tools for growth and scale.
- How defined, repeatable, processes are critical for growth.
