I uncovered a declassified OSS (the precursor to the CIA) guide to sabotage from 1944 for field agents behind enemy lines. Most of the guide is a “how to” tutorial for physical infrastructure destruction, however buried in the text is a section about sabotaging corporations and slowing business to advance the war effort.
It describes simple techniques for ruining meetings, how to disrupt a company as a manager, and how to do so as an employee. The bad news is that these behaviors have become commonplace anti-patterns, and they are regularly sabotaging our projects and our businesses.
