Don’t write them in stone: Establishing an honest and effective set of Core Values
Enron famously had “Integrity” written in granite in their entry way while simultaneously defrauding millions of customers and investors. Elevated Third has historically avoided superficial values and mission statements because Core Values always seemed like something created by HR in order to make everyone work harder. As we’ve started to grow, we’ve begun to realize that we were too quick to over-generalize and roll our eyes at Core Values.
A solid set of Core Values can get your company moving together in the right direction. When combined with a thoughtful core purpose and vision, these values can create the shared language that will help your business scale up to the next level.
In this session we will cover why Core Values are important, how they will impact your business, and how to get started creating them. Whether you’re an employee, manager, or business owner, learning how to create an honest set of guiding principles can help you achieve your goals and ultimately create better results for your clients.
