Integrating Amazon Echo and Alexa with Drupal 8

This session outlines and demonstrates on how you can integrate Drupal 8 with an Amazon Echo using the Alexa API. This “cross-channel” integration enables the creation of ‘Skills’ for websites or client's websites for customers to use with their Amazon Echo. 

Throughout this introductory presentation we’ll take a view at the various system requirements necessary; 

  • Alexa Skills Kit
  • Modules (contributed and custom)
  • Event handler
  • Request routes & returning responses. 

At the end of this presentation attendees will have a basic understanding of the implementation guidelines, requirements, and benefits of integrating Drupal 8 with Amazon echo via the Alexa API.
