Performance Tuning the Human Brain

How would you like an extra 10 minutes a day? How about 30? Maybe an hour? Just like performance tuning a server will get you more "bank for your buck", performance tuning your mind will do the same. With solid habits and support, you will be able to accomplish more work, in less time, with fewer errors, and higher quality. 

The most powerful tool you possess is your mind. Unlike the other tools we have, performance tuning your mind is a continual process with few objective metrics and a constantly shifting baseline. In this session, we take a high level look at how the brain works and discuss general guidelines for optimal brain performance and inducing the "flow state".

Topics include:

  • Understanding resource usage
  • Effects of nootropics
  • Guidelines for hormonal stability
  • Programs to induce the "flow state"
  • Advice for avoiding factors you can't control
  • Best practices for immediate improvements

While we will be discussing diet and lifestyle topics, the focus is not on any distinct theories and should be inclusive of all approaches. Where possible, we will link to mulitple primary sources so that you can review those and dig deeper. While much of this will lead to "common sense" solutions, the objective is to validate those solutions with actual science, and explain why those approaches work. 

Helping your brain to "work better" will improve many areas of your life, and will likely have some unexpected benefits.
