There are so many great things about Drupal 8, but my favorite feature is that there are so many entities.  Blocks are entities.  Contact forms are entities. Views, Taxonomies, Paragraphs, Users and Content Types all have common roots!  If all of the world is made up of entities, we can start to normalize how we site build our sites, and bridge our pieces of content.

This presentation will go in depth about the most popular ways to use Drupal 8's Reference field, and how we can use these difference type of entities to create structured content with Schema.org and JSON-LD structured markup for the modern web.

This presentation will review:

  • Ways to structure content into different entity and bundle types
  • Ways to reference, and link together different pieces of content
  • Ways to display referenced content using field formatters and view modes
