Revisioning custom blocks: A battle plan

There is a holy grail of page layout in the Drupal ecosystem. It involves:

• Content Blocks
• Panelizer
• Workbench Moderation

With this arcane recipe, acolytes of the way attempt to control their content blocks by the same revisioning tool that controls their panelized nodes. Alas, it does not work. I hear their cries and come armed with a battle plan. A plan just crazy enough, it might work.

In this session, we'll discuss the emerging Drupal 8 concensus around techniques for revisioning content blocks on panelized nodes. We'll explore the problems with other techniques and alternate options that work, and why you shouldn't use them.
