Time-management vs. Multitasking
Hi everyone who is reading this. I'm Marina and I used to multitask.
Rumor has it that many companies require such skills, so I see a lot of phrases like 'heavy multitasker', 'great at time-management' in CVs and social networks. But what's really hidden behind such fancy words. Are these terms interrelated or they are completely different?
Some time ago I caught myself multitasking and started analyzing my physical and emotional state. And in this session I'd like to present you to my personal observations and scientists' opinion about the following:
- what actually is more time consuming: doing a lot of things at a time or doing just one after another?
- which of those two processes is more natural and comfortable for our brains?
- what consequences multitasking causes in the long term perspective?
I hope this session will be helpful for many people since our fast-changing world requires us to be fast as well. I'd like to help you manage everything without stressing out.
So I invite to the journey of discovering what's better: to have a tight time framework or to run to many places at once?

- What level of knowledge should attendees have before walking into your session
No special knowledge needed.
- What will your session accomplish and what will attendees walk away having learned
Attendees will walk away having learned how multitasking affects their brain in long-tem perspective; what is more efficient in terms of time: multitasking or time-management; what to do if they have no choice but multitasking.
If it is a 25-miture session, I'll provide the information about multitasking and time-management and the conclusions about it, which is enough for attendees to create an overview about this topic. If it is a 60-minute session, I can also include some tools and time-management technics that work for me.
