Coronavirus (COVID-19) Disease Public Health Information

The health and safety of our attendees is of utmost importance and decisions regarding DrupalCon are made with this as the priority. Information about COVID-19 is rapidly changing and is being monitored by the Drupal Association Events Team staff daily.

With no mandated restrictions from the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. State Department, or the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, there are no plans to postpone or cancel DrupalCon Minneapolis. The Drupal Association is following the recommendations made by these regulatory and advisory agencies.

If information arises impacting DrupalCon Minneapolis, our Events Team staff will communicate via various channels, including: the DrupalCon Minneapolis website, Drupal.org, our Twitter handles - @DrupalConNA/@DrupalCon, and our event email lists.

We encourage you to visit the WHO website for basic Coronavirus prevention measures.
 

Convention Center, Meet Minneapolis & City of Minneapolis Statement

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not recommend canceling or postponing travel to any destination in the United States.

The Minnesota Department of Health is leading the state and city preparedness and information dissemination.

We are continually monitoring and assessing any new developments, and will provide updates if or when new information becomes available.

Outlined below are important measures Meet Minneapolis is taking, as well as CDC recommendations, regarding the Coronavirus:

• Working with the City of Minneapolis, Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC), Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport and others on updates and information.
• The MCC has hand sanitizing stations in every public lobby and is disinfecting high-touch areas more frequently (such as door handles, water fountains and bathroom fixtures)
• MSP Airport’s cleaning contractor was already using a product that kills a wide variety of viruses, including Coronavirus. Managers of the cleaning crews have re-emphasized the importance of carefully cleaning high-touch items such as handrails, doorknobs, elevator buttons, etc.
• Requesting that all visitors to Minneapolis evaluate their own health and that of people they’re in close contact with, and to contact Meet Minneapolis if they have concerns about visiting.
• Encouraging visitors to follow the guidance of the CDC for everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.
   

Answers to Further DrupalCon Questions

If I decide not to come to DrupalCon Minneapolis, can I get a refund of my registration?
We are adhering to our registration policy, which allows for transfer of tickets,  but all tickets are non-refundable. 

What will happen if there is an outbreak at DrupalCon?
In the unlikely event of a Coronavirus outbreak in Minneapolis, we will act in accordance with the Minneapolis Convention Center’s emergency preparedness plan.
