Drupal’s migration framework can be used for much more than just site-to-site migrations. Whether it is from APIs, legacy system databases, or spreadsheets, this session will cover how to use custom migration plugins to import and manipulate complex data for use in Drupal for both one-off imports and ongoing imports after site launch.
The types of use cases we will cover include:
• Consuming data via API from another CMS
• Synchronizing data between Drupal and external databases
• Using regular dumps from an on-site enterprise system to update Drupal nodes
We will work through creating data imports together using a shared and preconfigured Git repo, which you can use after the session as an example of Migration plugins for your own projects.
