The DrupalCon Orlando mascot has big travel plans between now and March, 2027! "Bytes the gator" will be visiting Drupal events around the world promoting the event and giving people the opportunity to win a free registration ticket to DrupalCon Orlando!
How to Participate?
- Take a Photo
- Capture a fun or creative photo with Bytes at a Drupal event. You may not use AI in any way, shape, or form! You can take a selfie, a group picture, or any creative shot of just Bytes!
- Share Your Photo
- Post your photo on Mastodon, BlueSky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter). Make sure your post is public so we can see it.
- Tag your photo with #DrupalConOrlando and #Bytes - your post must be tagged with both of these or we won't find you!
Can't make it to a Drupal event?
-
You can still enter by substituting Bytes with any alligator (preferably not a live one.)
-
Take a photo with your own plushy gator, or a photo of a gator, or your cousin dressed in a gator costume.
Don't want to post on social media?
-
If so, DM ultimike in the Drupal Slack workspace and send him your photo and he'll post it for you anonymously and enter you in the contest.
By entering the contest, you consent to having your submitted photo featured on DrupalCon Orlando's social media channels and event materials.
Bytes would love to attend this event, but needs a handler (more info below)
Five free tickets to DrupalCon Orlando 2027 will be given away, one each on (or shortly thereafter):
- September 1, 2026
- October 1, 2026
- November 1, 2026
- December 1, 2026
- February 1, 2027
Every valid photo shared before each of the dates above will be entered into each raffle. No need to collect likes, everyone has an equal chance to win! For example, if you enter on August 20, 2026, then your entry is good for all 5 raffles!
Winners will be announced on our social media channels and contacted directly.
Each raffle winner receives one free registration to DrupalCon Orlando 2027. Transportation, lodging, and any registration add-ons (trainings, summits, etc…) are not included. When registering the ticket, you can either claim it for yourself, or donate it to another community member.
Once the ticket is registered to a Bytes, it is non-transferable and cannot be changed later.
