Accessibility

The Drupal Association is committed to making our events equitable and accessible. Accessibility measures at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center include:

  • Ramps, elevators, and automatic doors
  • Onsite ASL interpreters, captioning, and high-contrast signage
  • Designated quiet spaces
  • Complimentary non-motorized wheelchairs available for guests to use while on site on a first-come, first-serve basis

Learn more about the David L. Lawrence Convention Center accessibility features, and contact Von Eaton, Director, Programs at von@association.drupal.org, for more information or with specific accessibility requests.

Hybrid Event Policy

DrupalCon Pittsburgh 2023 is a limited hybrid event, with some content being live and some being retroactive. All main conference sessions will be recorded and freely accessible via our Official YouTube channel 24-48 hours after their presentation. Participants are encouraged to view and discuss the sessions in the comments as well as in collaborative Slack channels.

Co-speakers and/or panelists may co-present via Zoom, as long as one session owner is present to facilitate on-site. Please contact speaking@association.drupal.org if you plan to have a virtual co-presenter as part of your session.

Areas of the conference available synchronously live:

  • Aaron Winborn Award & Driesnote (Streamed live via YouTube)
  • Contribution (Via Slack & Issue Queue)
  • Mentoring (Via Slack, Issue Queue, & OpenSocial.com)

Areas of the conference available retroactively:

  • Breakout sessions
  • Keynotes

Areas of the conference on-site only:

  • Expo Hall
  • Social Events
  • Summits & Trainings

Virtual content library

As part of our strategy to remain accessible and globally inclusive, we are planning to provide virtual options post-conference to engage with those who can not attend. As in years past, all of the on-site breakout sessions and keynotes will be recorded and shared post-conference, as well as online-exclusive breakout sessions via our virtual content library. You can find the virtual content library at the Drupal Association's Official YouTube page. All sessions must follow the guidelines of our Speaker Agreement, including abiding by our Code of Conduct.
