Getting to Chicago

Chicago has excellent national and international connections. The city is served by major airports with fast access to downtown via trains, shuttles, taxis, and rideshares. For regional travelers, Chicago is also a major Amtrak and intercity bus hub, and easily reached by car via several major highways.

The hotel is right on Michigan Avenue, overlooking Grant Park, putting you in the heartbeat of the city. From here you're just steps from Millennium Park, home to the iconic Cloud Gate (“The Bean”) and the Pritzker Pavilion. Grant Park also takes you to Buckingham Fountain, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum Campus — where you can explore the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, or Adler Planetarium. 

If you want to soak in more of Chicago’s energy, walk to State Street for historic shopping and the landmark Chicago Theatre. For a relaxed lakeside vibe, the Lakefront Trail is nearby for serene skyline views.

Visa Letter Request

The Drupal Association is happy to issue an official letter of invitation to DrupalCon attendees who must obtain a visa for travel to the United States. Please note this letter does not constitute any financial commitment on the part of the conference.

If you're visiting from outside the United States, you may need a visa. Please review the United States visa requirements, as you may qualify for a visa exemption.

We urge everyone who requires a visa to apply for it as early as possible. Specific questions regarding visas should be directed to your local United States consulate, embassy or immigration office.
