We are now recruiting community members interested in contributing to Drupal by serving as event volunteers for DrupalCon Chicago 2026 - where the people who make amazing digital experiences possible come together to make them even better. Your support helps make this event a success.
Please note:
- This year volunteer applications will be on a rolling basis, based on roles.
- Not all volunteer roles receive a free ticket to DrupalCon. Please check the details of the position for information.
- For roles committing up to 20 hours you will receive a 25% off discount
- For roles committing over 20 hours you will receive a (1) free ticket
- Complimentary tickets and/or discounts are non-transferable.
- Limit use per 1 per attendee.
- Codes and discount cannot be combined with any other discount.
- All applications will be contacted if selected or not for the applied role.

Marketing & Outreach Committee

The Marketing and Outreach Committee will develop ways to reach returning and potential participants, emphasizing audience diversity for DrupalCon. Members will utilize DrupalCon brand standards to create and share team-crafted messages primarily via email and social media. Please note this role is a significant commitment. We're looking for those with a passion for copywriting, marketing, visual content creation, and more! |

Speaker Review Committee | The Speakers Review Committee supports developing the DrupalCon program emphasizing the participant experience. The development of the program will include a combination of an open call for content and the cultivation of content around specific topics, themes, and desired outcomes. New User Committee / Ambassador

Come and join the new user volunteers and bring the lore of our community to newbies! This could be college grads, career changers, professionals discovering the landscape, or anyone in between! Community Advocate Committee

Make the conference as accessible as possible and increasing by a measurable amount the types of participants who attend, with a focus on adding multiple viewpoints to conference organizing, and emphasizing psychological and physical safety at the event. | 4-8 hours of on-site time at DrupalCon | 25% Off | 01 July 2025 | 05 August 2025 |
Scholarship Mentor | Mentors guide scholarship recipients through the DrupalCon journey, review participant expectations (Code of Conduct, etc.), suggest the most relevant program events to attend based on participant goals, and facilitate connections with members of the Drupal community who have similar interests. Scholarship mentors serve as Drupal ambassadors and friendly faces in an unfamiliar environment. | 5-10 hours in February and March 2026, including on-site at DrupalCon | 25% Off | 01 October 2025 | 30 October 2025 |

Local Ambassador Committee | Are you an Chicago local, who loves your city and knows it like the back of your hand? Consider being a local ambassador! Onsite / Registration Support | Onsite / Registration Support volunteers will work in collaboration with our event staff to manage the registration desk, direct attendees, greet attendees, help with set-up or tear down, and assist the Conference staff as needed. Summit Program Committees | The Summit Program Committees will champion programming development, including interactive elements, networking, and high-quality facilitation and presentations for the following summits: Non Profit Healthcare Government Community Higher-Ed Summits happen during DrupalCon week and focus on key Drupal industries and the community. The program will be curated through an open call for content and intentional outreach around specific themes and desired outcomes. |

Trivia Committee | Are you a fan of trivia? Join us as a Trivia Night Coordinator! This committee will help plan the famous DrupalCon Trivia Night event. Work will include creating the trivia questions and assisting with the execution and promotion of the event.
