Building a stronger open source community: the Community Health Track
“Come for the code, stay for the community”. This phrase perfectly captures the essence of the Drupal ecosystem. Our community is the heart of the open-source project—more than just code, it’s about creating a space where everyone feels safe, supported, and inspired to contribute.
At DrupalCon Vienna, the Community Health Track will explore the well-being and sustainability of our vibrant community. Whether you’re a long-time contributor or just starting your Drupal journey, this track will provide actionable insights on how to foster a more inclusive, productive, and resilient open-source ecosystem.
What will this track cover?
We will dive into key aspects that shape the Drupal community, including:
- Diversity & Inclusion – How do we break down barriers and create a welcoming space for everyone?
- Community Contributions – How can we encourage more people to get involved and sustain long-term engagement?
- Productivity within teams – What best practices can help teams work efficiently while maintaining a positive culture?
- Mental wellbeing – How do we prevent burnout and support the health of our contributors?
