Covid-19 Safety Policy DrupalCon Lille 2023

This page contains information about the COVID-19 aka Coronavirus and DrupalCon Europe 2023.

As COVID seems to be gradually becoming a part of the recent past, many people today still live with COVID-19 or its aftereffects in some form or another. Kuoni Tumlare | Congress, the Drupal Association and the team involved in organizing DrupalCon Europe are sensitive to those who want to come to DrupalCon and are at-risk.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that Covid-19 no longer represents a "global health emergency". Certainly in the bigger part of Europe, restrictions have been eased.

DrupalCon Europe 2023 will take place in Lille, France. The DrupalCon Europe organization will follow local health recommendations from the French authorities at the time DrupalCon will take place. Please review the policy below in detail.

Attendance Considerations

Individuals should not attend the event if they are COVID-positive, are exhibiting COVID symptoms (as defined by your local health authority), or have been exposed, within 10 days before the event, to someone who was COVID-positive or showed COVID symptoms. DrupalCon will issue a refund to anyone fitting these criteria. It is highly encouraged that you limit your activities prior to attending DrupalCon Lille 2023 and test regularly to ensure you are not traveling with COVID-19. If you feel sick at any point during the conference, please remain in your hotel room and conduct a rapid test.

Mask Requirement

Face coverings will not be required on-site at DrupalCon Lille. However, we still strongly recommend masks for all attendees. Free COVID self tests and FFP2 masks are available to everyone who needs them.

Vaccination/Testing

DrupalCon Lille will not require proof of vaccination or negative testing in order to attend DrupalCon Lille 2023. However, it is highly encouraged to test before your travel, upon arrival, and each day you are in attendance at the conference. Rapid tests will be available for all attendees at registration upon request. If you are not feeling well, please stay in your hotel room and test before arriving.

Travel

Anyone traveling to the event should read and abide by the Travel Guidelines for domestic and international travel listed here. In addition, we highly encourage you to respect fellow participants and do everything possible to ensure a conference environment that is as safe as possible, regardless of private or regional mandates. This may include masking on flights, trains, and in ride-shares.

Statement of Policy Change

At the same time, everyone, attendees and sponsors alike should be aware that the situation might change again, in which case regulations might change and restrictions may apply again. By registering for DrupalCon Europe, you consent to any and all policy changes related to COVID 19

The organizing committee also wants to be clear that DrupalCon is a global event and people from all over the world are attending. We know situations are different for different parts of the world and also for people individually. Some are still very much affected by COVID and/or its effects. Being an open and inclusive community, the Drupal community and the DrupalCon team wants to provide a secure environment for everyone as much as possible.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Also read more about reasons why you should wear a mask at the WHO website
