Coming from the Drupal Open University Initiative, Drupal in a Day is a beginner friendly, hands on introduction to Drupal and open source collaboration. In one day, participants go from “never touched Drupal” to building a working site, understanding the basics of how Drupal is put together, and knowing where to go next in the community.

The first edition was organized at DrupalJam 2025, but got the attention of the Drupal community in 2025 at DrupalCon Vienna. With 90+ registrations, the success of this edition was greeted with enthusiasm by the community who embraced the concept and started rapidly duplicating it all over the world.

DrupalJam, DrupalCon Vienna,DrupalCamp Costa Rica, DrupalCamp England, DrupalCon Chicago, Dev Days Athens, and counting... One year later, the Drupal in a Day is still going strong.

This session offers an opportunity to hear the testimonies from the people who organized, taught and supported the previous editions of Drupal in a Day. After a 5 minutes introduction, The panel will share with the audience their stories, pictures and statistics with the audience.
With all the actors in the same room, the audience will be able ask questions to the project leaders, get a clear view of what's coming and hopefully get inspired to organize their own edition.
