Drupal Rector has been fixing the contrib ecosystem for years. Every deprecation patch the Project Update Bot drops in an issue queue comes out of it. What fewer people know is that the same tool runs on your own code. Custom modules, themes, client sites. I built a new set of rules with AI, feeding it Dries' Drupal digests. Writing the rules was the fast part. Testing them against real code took much longer, and that's where the session spends its time, because a Rector rule you can't trust is worse than no rule at all. Drupal Rector is also an official Rector set now. One line in your `rector.php` and it runs. I'll show you how to point it at your site, what it handles by itself, and where you still need to look. Drupal 12 is coming. I've done one of these upgrades by hand, module by module, and I'm not doing that again.
